The Badgers women’s basketball program received tough news last week when Maty Wilke entered the transfer portal.
Wilke averaged 11.8 points per game during her lone season in Madison, and she shot 35% from distance.
“My decision to leave Wisconsin was a difficult one,” wrote the Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, native on Twitter. “I appreciated the support of the Badger athletic community over the years.”
Wilke took a redshirt season in 2021-22 to fully heal and came back strong in 2022-23 for the Badgers. We wish her the best at her next stop. Once a Badger, always a Badger. Here is a look at Wilke’s goodbye post on Twitter:
