Matt Ryan left Peyton and Eli Manning speechless with his end-of-game logic for the Eagles and Falcons thriller

What?

To be honest, it’s a little tough to figure out what Matt Ryan was trying to say here while he enjoyed the Atlanta Falcons’ comeback win Monday night over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ryan had a blast on the ManningCast while watching Kirk Cousins engineer a drive that gave the Falcons the surprise win in primetime, but there was one moment that left the Manning brothers speechless. Hat tip to Warren Sharp for recording this, in which Ryan declares a team should kick the field goal and then go for the onside kick for an end-of-game Hail Mary.

OK, I’m gonna try this: I think he assumes the Eagles would score a touchdown to go up 25-15, and that the Falcons would then go for a field goal, kick onside and then try to score a touchdown.

But the situation dictated that if the Eagles got a first down (this was before the Saquon Barkley drop), the Falcons had no timeouts, so Philly would have kneeled three times to ice the win.

So that left the Mannings confused:
