PHILADELPHIA–Tobias Harris is technically only the No. 4 option for the Philadelphia 76ers, but he does a little bit of everything while out on the floor. He scores, he rebounds, he passes the ball well, he defends, and he is also this team’s vocal leader when things go awry.
A perfect example of his leadership and toughness has been during this recent stretch with the team being so short-handed. Harris is averaging 23 points and 7.2 rebounds while shooting 52.1% from the floor over the past five games, four of them without Joel Embiid before the big fella returned on Monday.
In their most recent win over the Atlanta Hawks, Harris carried Philadelphia’s offense before Embiid got going as he scored 24 points on 10-for-18 shooting with 10 rebounds. His play has been an example of his entire career of doing whatever the team needs to win and Matisse Thybulle went into deep detail about how Harris has done just that.
