There’s been no official word from the Steelers regarding if fans will be allowed at Heinz Field this fall (or at what capacity), but the team recently announced that if there will be fans, along with it will be a requirement to wear a mask.
On Wednesday, NFL PR spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed that there will be a league-wide requirement for all fans who attend games.
As usual, with any face-covering mandates, the news was meant with mixed reactions. Several question the legality of requiring facemasks and accuse the NFL of fear-mongering. Some fans simply want to go to games and are ready with their team-branded masks.
Others are looking at the more practical questions like:
How am I supposed to drink beer while wearing a mask?
