Marvin Mims lands in the first round in FOX’s early 2023 Mock draft

Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver Marvin Mims is sent to the Buffalo Bills in this 2023 NFL mock draft from Fox Sports.

The Oklahoma Sooners may find themselves back in the first round of the NFL Draft next year. After not having a first-round pick in each of the last two NFL Drafts, NFL media believes that could change in 2023 as a particular Sooner continues to show up in their early first-round mock drafts.

[autotag]Marvin Mims[/autotag] is clearly on the radar of the NFL media and for good reason. He’s an uber-talented playmaker and will look to take the next step forward as a player and a leader in what will likely be his third and final year in college during this upcoming 2022 season.

The NFL will be calling Mims’ name and if this mock draft from Jason McIntyre of Fox is any indication, there would be no reason for him to consider coming back. Previously, Mims was mocked to the Dallas Cowboys in the CBS Sports’ early mock.

McIntyre sent Mims to the Buffalo Bills, which would pair him with one of the game’s best and brightest quarterbacks in Josh Allen. Allen sports an absolute cannon for an arm. In Buffalo, Mims would become a secondary weapon opposite Pro Bowl receiver Stefon Diggs and offer an inside/outside threat capable of posing mismatches. Coming in as a rookie would give him four years (and as a first-round pick up to five years) with Allen who is settling in with Buffalo for the long haul. Allen’s six-year $250 million contract extension is about to start.

With Mims would the Bills add another matchup problem on an offense that is predicated on their QB’s ability to be the biggest mismatch on the field with his ability to run and his rocket launcher of an arm.

With a year away, we have no idea how things will turn out but it’s safe to say that Mims is an offensive player NFL media is certainly tuned in to.
