After hearing his name early in the 2016 NBA draft lottery, Marquese Chriss has bounced around the association in his short career. With an opening on the frontcourt, Golden State brought in Chriss before the start of the 2019-20 training camp.
After an impressive preseason, Chriss earned a spot in the opening day lineup. Injuries to Kevon Looney and the trade of Willie Cauley-Stein opened up a clear path for the former Washington Husky.
The Chriss comeback tour was put on hold when the Warriors decided to waive him in order to make room for Damion Lee. However, Golden State brought back Chriss quickly. Since returning to the Warriors, Chriss started 18 games, ripping off six double-double performances.
After a long NBA journey that landed him in the Bay Area, Chriss described his favorite moment since joining the Golden State Warriors in a Q&A session on social media.

My favorite moment as a Warrior’s player definitely will have to go with one of our most recent games against the Sixers. We ended up winning. The atmosphere in the building was amazing. It was a close game, and I happened to get a block at the end of the game — I think that was pretty big. But I think as a collective unit, we were just jelling as a team, and we just played together and we ended up coming out with the win, so that was probably one of the most fun games I’ve been a part of.
Q: So far, what is your favorite moment as a @warriors player? Stay safe, bro. #NBATogether #nba #NBATwitter

Against the Sixers, Chriss recorded 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting with 10 rebounds and eight assists. The Sacramento native blocked Mike Scott’s putback attempt to help seal Golden State’s upset win at Chase Center, 118-114.
