March Madness: Colorado women given a No. 6 seed, will face No. 11 Middle Tennessee

The CU women’s basketball team is dancing into Durham

The Colorado Buffaloes are dancing into the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament as a No. 6 seed in the Seattle 4 region. Head coach JR Payne’s team will take on the No. 11 seed Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders on Saturday in the first round at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

Middle Tennessee is 28-4 on the season with a recent win over Western Kentucky in the Conference USA Tournament championship game.

If CU goes on a run and reaches the Elite 8, the No. 1 seed in Seattle 4 is Stanford. The Buffs were able to hold tough in their matchup against the Cardinal in February and could be a sneaky bet if they catch fire early.

Congrats to the Buffaloes on making their second straight NCAA Tournament.
