Manny Diaz: ‘We could not match’ Alabama

The Miami Hurricanes HC had a lot to say about how his team fared against the Crimson Tide.

The No. 14 ranked Miami Hurricanes walked away from their season-opening matchup 0-1 after losing to the top-ranked Crimson Tide 44-13.

Overall, the contest was one sided, with some questionable play calling from the sidelines and some inconsistent play on the field.

Today, Miami head coach Manny Diaz met with the media and answered questions. When asked about the team going down 27-0 in the first half, Diaz responded with an interesting answer.

Diaz spoke about the high level of competition Alabama brings to every contest and their execution, which are factors he claims Miami just “could not match.”

He also went on to mention that Alabama plays so well, that the team turns national championship games into blow outs.
