This year Star Wars Day is also the deadline for NFL teams with 2017 first-round picks on their roster to say May the 4th be with them or not. For most of those players, they are the droids they were looking for. But it was only a slight majority. For 14 of those former first-rounders, they will go into this season as their last one under their rookie contract. Or worse.
Here is the full list of 2017 first-round picks and whether they had their fifth-year options picked up or not.

The Raiders spent the 24th overall pick on Gareon Conley in the 2017 draft. Midway through last season, with a struggling secondary, they traded Conley to the Texans in exchange for a third-round pick.
The Texans are declining the fifth-year option on Conley’s rookie contract. But he’s not alone. He is one of 14 players who either had their option declined or — in the case of Taco Charlton — was waived altogether. Those declined deals include four of the top five picks.
