Mack Brown is excited about upcoming game vs. Syracuse

UNC football head coach Mack Brown is a happy guy, especially after how his team’s been playing. Will he stay happy after the Syracuse game?

UNC head coach Mack Brown might be one of college football’s oldest, but his demeanor is that of an energetic, young adult who just got a Christmas bonus.

It’s not uncommon to see Brown dancing in the locker room after wins. Even after an abysmal outing, Brown always appears to smile. He sprints across the field after games, congratulating players from the opposing team.

Brown is certainly ecstatic about his team’s best start since 1997, during his first stint in Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels continue to sport one of the nation’s best offenses, yet it’s their resurgent defense that’s capturing national attention.

UNC gets another test this coming Saturday, with the Syracuse Orange coming to town for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.

If the Tar Heels play to their expectations by delivering an efficient, balanced attack, there’s no reason Brown shouldn’t be smiling on Saturday night. UNC is 4-0 and coming off a crucial bye week, while Syracuse suffered its first loss against Clemson last weekend.

However, there’s been plenty of instances where teams look lethargic after time off. Let’s just hope Brown has the boys in baby blue prepared, which I bet there’s a good chance they will be.
