Mac Jones, DeVante Parker chatted on Twitter about the Patriots’ big trade

Both Mac Jones and DeVante Parker were thrilled.

New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones spotted the news of the team’s decision to trade for receiver DeVante Parker. And the quarterback was clearly thrilled to have another impressive pass-catcher on the roster.

Jones wrote on Twitter: “Let’s go!! Welcome to NEP! @DeVanteParker.”

Parker seemed just as stoked. He responded quickly.

“Let’s get it big dawg. LFG!!!” the receiver wrote in response.

Jones is entering his second season after a solid but statistically quiet rookie year (3,801 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, 13 interceptions). He will need all the help he can get to ramp out the output in the passing offense. And the addition of Parker, a 29-year-old, could absolutely help.

Parker joins a group of receivers that includes Kendrick Bourne, Jakobi Meyers, Nelson Agholor, N’Keal Harry, Kristian Wilkerson and Tre Nixon, among others. Parker should immediately be among the starting three.
