LSU-Vanderbilt: Four things to know ahead of the game

LSU hasn’t lost in Nashville since 1990. Coming off a crushing loss, the Tigers face a Vanderbilt team that could impress for another week.

Vanderbilt surprised last week

Though they lost 17-12, the Commodores fielded a new-look team last week against Texas A&M. Both Wakefield and Marlow looked solid in the rushing attack, and quarterback Ken Seals looked poised in the pocket at times.

But, LSU will likely have star cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. back this week. That would give the secondary a huge boost. One area that the Commodores could have trouble with is their rushing ability. LSU only gave up nine rushing yards to Mississippi State.

However, the Tigers gave up 623 passing yards. If Seals can connect early, he could impress again against another top-25 SEC team.
