LSU WR Ja’Marr Chase opting out of 2020 college football season

The best wide receiver in college football is opting out of the 2020 season and will prepare for the 2021 NFL Draft

The best wide receiver in the country is getting an early start on his preparations for the next level.

LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase is opting out of the 2020 college football season and will begin preparing for the 2021 NFL Draft, per multiple reports:

A dominant pass-catcher who carved up opposing defenses with ease, Chase took full advantage of Joe Burrow’s incredible 2019 campaign, putting up huge numbers on the way to a national title.

While the SEC is among the Power 5 conferences still planning to play this fall amid the COVID-19 pandemic, they will be missing one of their biggest stars in Chase, who should be a top-five pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and the first wide receiver off the board.
