LSU women’s basketball’s Angel Reese named SEC Co-Player of the Week

Angel Reese turned in two double-doubles in blowout wins last week.

[autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag] hasn’t missed a beat since returning to the court, and after a huge week in blowout wins over McNeese and Northwestern State, she’s been named the SEC Co-Player of the Week alongside Mississippi State’s Jessica Carter.

Reese turned in double-doubles in both wins this week, putting her at six on the season and 39 for her LSU career. In the win over McNeese — in which the Tigers set program records for points scored and margin of victory — she had a career-high six steals.

In addition to Reese being recognized, [autotag]Mikaylah Williams[/autotag] was also named the SEC Freshman of the Week as well as the National Freshman of the Week by the USBWA.

Reese spent four games away from the team for undisclosed reasons, but she’s looked like the player who led the Tigers to a national title last season since returning to the court.
