The Tigers continue to push for elite recruits under Kim Mulkey.

Coach [autotag]Kim Mulkey[/autotag] has recruited at an elite level both in high school and in the transfer portal since taking the job at LSU, and the Tigers’ women’s basketball team is looking to add another premier recruit in the 2025 class.

They’ve been heavily recruiting [autotag]Aaliyah Chavez[/autotag], a Lubbock, Texas, prospect who ranks as the No. 1 player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class. Mulkey and assistant coach [autotag]Gary Redus[/autotag] made the trip to West Texas on Tuesday night during LSU’s bye week to watch Chavez’s Monterey High School team play in its first playoff game, according to On3’s Matthew Brune.

Chavez recently released a top 10 that includes Arizona, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas Tech, UCLA and USC.

According to Brune, Chavez is planning a trip to Baton Rouge following the conclusion of her high school season.
