LSU up to No. 7 in AP Top 25 following Saturday night’s upset

LSU is now in the top 10 in both polls after the upset against Alabama.

Unsurprisingly, LSU’s SEC West-shaking win over Alabama did not go unnoticed by the pollsters.

The Tigers previously ranked No. 17 and 15 in the USA TODAY Coaches and AP Polls, respectively, and they rose to No. 8 in the Coaches on Sunday. They’re also on the rise in the latest AP Top 25, moving up eight spots to No. 7.

Georgia remained at No. 1, while Alabama fell to No. 10. Tennessee’s loss to the Bulldogs dropped it three spots to No. 5. Ole Miss sits just outside the top 10 at No. 11.

We’ll have to wait and see where the Tigers land in the College Football Playoff Rankings on Tuesday. In the initial rankings last week, they came in at No. 10. Saturday’s win should certainly move it up a few spots.
