One of the best defenders in all of college football is leaving school early to make the jump to the pros.
LSU safety Grant Delpit is foregoing the remainder of his eligibility to enter the 2020 NFL draft. He made his announcement via social media Wednesday.
The Jim Thorpe Award winner as the nation’s top defensive back in college football, Delpit is a versatile defensive weapon who can make plays all over the field, both in run support and in coverage. He’s widely regarded as the top safety prospect in this year’s draft class, and should hear his name called in the first round come April.
