LSU RB commit Corey Kiner has another big week

Kiner is showing LSU the strength it has to work with at running back in the future.

Another week, another standout performance for LSU running back commit Corey Kiner.

If there’s one thing the coronavirus pandemic hasn’t affected for the Tigers, it’s their level of recruiting. And Kiner’s most recent showing proved that LSU is getting another good one to add the the ground game in the future.

Kiner, a four-star running back from Roger Bacon High School in Cincinnati, had another big performance over the weekend, leading his team to a 4-0 start on the season.

Kiner rushed for 256 yards and two touchdowns, including a 97-yard run.

So, through four games Kiner has rushed for 1,030 yards on 72 carries and scored 17 touchdowns. He is averaging over 14 yards per rush attempt.

Kiner is now tied for No. 8 all-time in Ohio in total touchdowns and tied for No. 7 in rushing touchdowns. He has 6,301 yards rushing, which is No. 23 all-time in the state’s rich football history.

Kiner committed to the Tigers back in May after receiving an offer earlier in the year.

With Chris Curry the current running back to watch, LSU is set to open the season against the Mississippi State Bulldogs at 2:30 p.m. CST on Saturday in Tiger Stadium.
