LSU QB coach Joe Sloan checks out five-star 2025 prospect during bye

LSU continues to push for 2025 quarterback George MacIntyre.

LSU has the week off, but there’s no bye week when it comes to recruiting.

The Tigers staff is using this opportunity to visit with and scout several targets, and quarterbacks coach [autotag]Joe Sloan[/autotag] was spotted in Nashville checking out a signal-caller LSU has been going after for quite a while.

[autotag]George MacIntyre[/autotag] ranks as the No. 2 quarterback and No. 13 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, per 247Sports, and Sloan was at his game on Thursday night with Brentwood Academy. LSU recently cracked the top 10 for MacIntyre.

Sloan wasn’t the only representative from a major school in attendance, as Michigan quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell was also at the game, per On3.

There are no Crystal Ball predictions for MacIntyre, but Alabama is the heavy favorite per On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine. Still, there’s a lot of time left for things to change with the uncommitted high school junior.
