LSU pitcher Thatcher Hurd enters transfer portal

Thatcher Hurd, who is also a draft prospect, entered the portal with a “do not contact” tag.

Former LSU right-handed pitcher [autotag]Thatcher Hurd[/autotag] has entered his name into the transfer portal.

Hurd entered the 2024 season with high hopes of being the ace for the Tigers but unfortunately, things did not go as planned. He finished the season with a 3-4 record and a 6.55 ERA. In 44 innings of work, he struck out 56 hitters and walked 24.

Hurd has entered the portal with a “do not contact” tag according to [autotag]On3[/autotag]. Although he has entered his name into the transfer portal, I believe that will be a moot point at the end of the day. I believe Thatcher will hear his name called in the 2024 MLB Draft and he will go pro.

As I have said many times, I still believe Thatcher has all of the tools to be a very talented pitcher. He just has to put it all together. Whether that be as a starter or a reliever. No matter what, I hope he is successful! There would be no national championship in 2023 without him.
