LSU is looking for a talented safety in the 2026 recruiting class. That search has led them to [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag]’s old stomping grounds in Maryland.

[autotag]Jireh Edwards[/autotag] is a 6-foot-1, 194-pound safety from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where he plays for St. Frances Academy.

St. Frances Academy is one of the most prestigious high school football programs in the country. The Panthers finished the 2022 season 9-1 with their only loss coming to IMG Academy in the last game of the year.

There are currently no Crystal Ball projections for Edwards, but Maryland is a 34% favorite to land him per On3.

Film Analysis: Edwards is a big hitter in the run game and does a great job in man coverage.
