Former LSU QB leads Auburn to a win
The start of game week for the LSU Tigers and Auburn Tigers couldn’t be any more interesting. On Saturday Bo Nix was benched in favor of former Tigers signal-caller T.J. Finley.
With Auburn facing an embarrassing loss at home to Georgia State, the Tigers went with the quarterback who transferred in following spring camp. Finley came into the game completing nine of 16 attempts for 97 yards and one touchdown.
More importantly, Finely engineered the game-winning drive that went 98 yards. On a fourth-down play in the red zone, he found Shedrick Jackson in the back of the end zone with just 0:45 left in the game.
The big question moving forward will revolve around the quarterback situation for Auburn heading into Saturday night in Death Valley. Will first-year head Bryan Harsin go back to the starter Bo Nix, or will he have T.J. Finley make his first start for Auburn in his home state of Louisiana?
We very well could see two quarterbacks who were together in the spring face off on Saturday night with Finley and Max Johnson.
