LSU makes the cut for defensive line prospect’s top 5

Tionne Gray is a two-way player who also projects as an offensive tackle.

The Tigers have shifted gears to the 2024 cycle now, and they’re looking to add to a class that already ranks No. 3 in the country.

One LSU prospect is getting closer to making a decision as three-star Hazelwood Central (Saint Louis, Missouri) defensive line prospect [autotag]Tionne Gray[/autotag] released a top five that included LSU, Missouri, Minnesota, Colorado and Oregon.

Though he’s listed as a defensive lineman, Gray is a two-way player who also sees time as an offensive tackle (in addition to some experience at tight end). He’s listed as the No. 477 prospect in the 2024 class, per the 247Sports Composite, and though he has no Crystal Ball projections at this time, in-state Missouri is a 78.5%% favorite per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

The Tigers will likely have to beat out a conference foe here, but Gray would be a nice addition to the 2024 class. LSU signed one player from Saint Louis in the 2023 class, DeSmet tight end [autotag]Mac Markway[/autotag].
