LSU in the mix for 4-star offensive lineman

LSU could give their quarterback of the future some stout protection by bringing this recruit to Baton Rouge.

LSU has made the cut, among the top 10 choices for four-star offensive lineman Qae’shon Sapp.

Sapp, out of Lee County High School in Leesburg, Georgia, has an offer from LSU in addition to several other prestigious programs including Alabama, Kentucky, Florida State, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee.

Rivals.com lists Sapp as the No. 7 offensive guard in the nation and the No. 29 overall player in the state of Georgia. The 6-foot-5, 310-pounder has not yet been rated by 247 Sports.

It won’t be easy for LSU to land Sapp, considering he’s spoken to his bond with Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida in recent times.

Sapp was set to visit LSU before all the restrictions put in place due to COVID-19, so he could take that trip some time next year — something that could help give LSU an advantage.

The Tigers have seven players committed to their 2022 class.
