The LSU Tigers improved to 2-2 on the season Saturday with an impressive 52-24 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks in Baton Rouge.

Freshman quarterback TJ Finley made his first career start for the Tigers and was outstanding, completing 17 of 21 passes for 265 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.

Wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. had yet another big game, catching six passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Marshall now has seven touchdowns on the season.

LSU’s running game also got back on track against the Gamecocks. Tyrion Davis-Price led the defending national champions with 135 yards on 22 attempts and one touchdown.

As a team, LSU ran for 276 yards and three scores. Finley also rushed for 24 yards and a touchdown.

The Tigers’ defense wasn’t perfect, allowing 403 yards, but it was a big improvement over two weeks ago.

LSU faces Auburn next week.
