High school football is starting to ramp up around portions of the country this week. The COVID-19 pandemic has either canceled or delayed high school football in some areas, but in Ohio, the season kicked off this weekend.

And one LSU commit put on quite a show on Friday night.

Four-star running back Corey Kiner, who committed to the Tigers back on May 11, rushed for 231 yards and three touchdowns in his season opener.

The 5-foot-10, 205-pound Kiner plays for John Bacon High School in Cincinnati. Kiner’s performance helped lead his team to a 34-0 win over Purcell Marian High.

It was also a record-breaking night for the future Tiger.

Kiner is ranked as the No. 7 overall running back in the 2021 class, per 247Sports, and could climb with more performances like the one on Friday night.
