LSU basketball forward enters NCAA transfer portal

LSU basketball is down one after this forward entered the transfer portal this week.

LSU’s men’s basketball program continues to transition prior to the 2021 season as another member of the current roster recently entered the draft portal.

Baton Rouge native Josh LeBlanc recently made the decision to transfer out of LSU after having played one season with the Tigers. LeBlanc started his college career at Georgetown before transferring to LSU.

The 6-foot-7 forward has appeared in a total of 64 games during his college career, including 23 starts, but only one of those starts occurred at LSU.

He appeared in 25 games for the Tigers averaging 3.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game.

During his time as a Hoya, he averaged 7.2 points and 2.7 rebounds in the 2019-20 season and 8.8 points and 6.6 rebounds in 2018-19.

LeBlanc played high school basketball at Madison Prep.

Seneca Knight also recently entered the NCAA draft portal taking away more depth from the 2021 roster, but head coach Will Wade has plenty of talent, especially in the frontcourt, headed into the upcoming season.

Forward Tari Eason, a transfer from Cincinnati, and three freshman center signees in 6-11 Efton Reid of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, 6-9 Jerrell Colbert of Houston High in Germantown, Tennessee, and 6-8 Bradley Ezewiro of Oak Hill High in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia are all expected to hit the floor in a Tiger jersey this fall.

Wade also signed 6-8 forward Alex Fudge of Lee High in Jacksonville, Florida. Reid is the No. 3 center in the nation by 247Sports, while Colbert is ranked No. 12.
