The LSU Tigers finished the regular season with an impressive 86-80 win at Missouri on Saturday. The win moved LSU to 16-8 on the season with an 11-6 mark in SEC play.

Next up for the Tigers is the SEC Tournament where they will be the No. 3 seed.

As a top-four seed in the tournament, LSU receives a double-bye and will not play until Friday. The Tigers will meet the winner of the Ole Miss-South Carolina game. LSU defeated both teams in the regular season.

After Saturday’s win over Missouri, LSU head coach Will Wade met with the media and discussed the upcoming SEC Tournament, per Geaux247.

Wade said his team is ready to erase past disappointments in the conference tournament.

“I said this last week, I’m very aware of how poor we’ve been in the SEC Tournament,” the head coach stated.

We haven’t been able to win in this tournament and we take this thing seriously. We’re going to be ready to go in Nashville. We’re excited about going to the tournament. It’s a point of pride for us. We haven’t advanced in this thing.

Some good news for LSU is being the No. 3 seed means it won’t have to face Alabama until the championship game. The Crimson Tide dominated the Tigers in both meetings in the regular season.

If LSU survives on Friday, the Tigers will meet either Georgia, Missouri or Arkansas on Saturday in the semifinals.

The SEC Tournament begins on Wednesday when No. 12 Vanderbilt plays No. 13 Texas A&M.
