LSU baseball swept by Arkansas, moves to 0-3 in SEC series

The Tigers’ struggles since the start of SEC play continued in Fayetteville this weekend.

LSU was swept for the first time this season as Arkansas took all three games from the Tigers in a 7-5 win in Sunday’s Game 3.

[autotag]Tommy White[/autotag] was the leadoff hitter for the Tigers in game three and he led off the game with a solo homer to put the Tigers up 1-0.

In the bottom of the first inning, Arkansas hit a homer of their own to tie the game 1-1. In the top of the third inning, [autotag]Ashton Larson[/autotag] hit a two-run shot to give LSU a 3-1 lead.

In the top of the fourth inning, [autotag]Mac Bingham[/autotag] hit a solo shot to increase the lead to 4-1.

The Razorbacks would score six runs between the fourth and sixth innings to give the Hogs a 7-4 lead. In the top of the seventh inning, Bingham hit another solo shot to cut the lead to 7-5.

The Tigers loaded the bases in the top of the eighth inning but were unable to score any runs to cut into the Arkansas lead. LSU was unable to score any more runs as the Tigers lost 7-5.

The Tigers will be back in action against Southern on Monday at 6:30.
