Originally, LSU and South Carolina were going to play a doubleheader starting at 11 a.m. CT on Friday. Thankfully, the teams were able to get Game 1 in and LSU tied the series at 1, but Game 2 is not going to happen Friday night.
Shortly after Game 1, a downpour began in Columbia, South Carolina. At 4:30 p.m., both coaches met at home plate to discuss the possibility of getting Game 3 in sometime this afternoon. After looking at the weather radar, they realized that wouldn’t happen.
The winner-take-all third game is now scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m., although the forecast does not look promising. There is a 100% chance of rain tomorrow in Columbia. Hopefully, the game can get far enough to at least be decided if it is rained out.
No game tonight, they will try to play tomorrow at noon. #LSU
