BYU associate head coach [autotag]Brent Haring[/autotag] has joined LSU’s staff as the director of baseball operations, the program announced on Tuesday.
Haring was promoted to the position of associate head coach in July 2022 after spending 10 seasons in Provo on the staff in various capacities. During that time, he coached 34 All-West Coast Conference selections and 19 MLB draft picks.
“I am excited to add Brent to our program; he is an excellent person, hard worker, and will make a positive impact as our new Director of Baseball Operations,” coach [autotag]Jay Johnson[/autotag] said in a release. “His experiences as a recruiting coordinator and coach will help us tremendously.”
Before his time at BYU, he spent three seasons as an assistant at Utah Tech and also coached at Harding University, Mount Olive College, College of the Ozarks and Southern Virginia.
He has spent time as the head coach of the American Samoa National Team since 2010, as well.
