On an action-packed Saturday, the LSU Tigers (3-2) travel north to take on the Kentucky Wildcats (5-0). The game is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be held at Kroger Field. Below, we look at the LSU at Kentucky odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.
Coming off arguably their biggest victory in the past decade, the Kentucky Wildcats will get to lace back up under the bright lights of Kroger Field, where they knocked off the Florida Gators last weekend.
The Wildcats are still undefeated and will look to keep it that way before they head down to Athens next weekend. Kentucky sits at No. 14 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.
As for LSU, it hasn’t been even close to the level it obtained when former first-round picks Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, and Joe Burrow were on the roster back in 2019.
However, the program does have a quality win over Mississippi State, who just took down Texas A&M. The Tigers are led by former four-star recruit, Max Johnson.

LSU at Kentucky odds, lines, picks and predictions
Prediction
Kentucky 27, LSU 21
Money line
PASS on the money line. I think Kentucky will come out on top, but the -140 isn’t great value.
The LSU +115 is the better value on the money line as Kentucky has scraped by in many of its wins with its offense struggling mightily. However, I’d still look to the points in this one.
Against the spread
“LEAN” to KENTUCKY -2.5 (-115) as the best value.
It’s entering this match 5-0, and while they certainly weren’t all pretty victories, the Cats have gotten the job done. They’ve won all five of their games by at least three points.
Yes, their offense is struggling, ranking 11th in the SEC in passing. However, they held Florida to just 13, something Alabama couldn’t even accomplish.
The defense is legit, and with LSU coming off a loss and having to travel to Lexington, I think the crowd will once again be rocking, playing at least some factor in the outcome.
Over/Under
BET on the UNDER 50.5 (-108) as the best value in this game.
Kentucky is tied for the 78th-most points per game. That’s not good. Penn State transfer Will Levis started off the season hot but has since disappointed.
The Cats have been carried by their elite defense, allowing under a 40 percent third-down conversation rate. They also rank 36th in the FBS in rushing, expect them to leave the ball on the ground plenty, which should help run down the clock.
As for LSU, it ranks 19th in passing yards per game. If Kentucky can make it difficult for Johnson, this will be another low-scoring affair. Cats rank 26th in opponent’s passing yards.
Combine everything, and Under 51 looks to be the best value on the table.
