The LSU Tigers are off to a great start in their 2022 football recruiting class. The Tigers already have nine verbal commitments after picking up five in January alone.
Two of LSU’s 2022 commitments are offensive tackles Will Campbell and Bo Bordelon. Both players reside in the state of Louisiana.
Could the Tigers be on the verge of adding another offensive lineman to the class?
On Tuesday, three-star offensive Jacob Hood announced his top six schools on Twitter and LSU made the cut.
Baylor, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, and Tennessee were his other finalists.
At 6-foot-8, 342 pounds, Hood has the size to step in and play immediately once he arrives on a college campus. His size would indicate he is likely to stay at offensive tackle if he chooses the Tigers.
LSU offensive line coach James Cregg has clearly focused on adding several offensive linemen in this class. The Tigers will return all five starters in 2021 but need to add several players in 2022 to replenish the talent it could lose following next season.
Hood hasn’t announced a timeframe for his decision.
