Louisiana Tech transfer offensive lineman Zarian McGill commits to Colorado

The Buffs landed a former All-Sun Belt offensive lineman from the transfer portal

Although head coach Deion Sanders has yet to announce a new offensive line coach, the Colorado Buffaloes landed an experienced transfer portal piece up front on Sunday morning.

As reported by Rivals, former Louisiana Tech OL Zarian McGill has committed to Colorado. McGill is a 6-foot-2, 308-pound senior who visited Boulder this weekend before giving his pledge to Coach Prime.

The Taylorsville, Mississippi native began his college career at Jones College (2020-21) before spending two years at Louisiana-Monroe (2022-23) and this past season at Louisiana Tech. In 2023, McGill was a second-team All-Sun Belt selection with the Warhawks.

Per Pro Football Focus College, McGill allowed only two sacks in the past two seasons (685 pass-blocking snaps).

McGill marks Colorado’s 14th transfer portal commitment of the offseason and the third offensive lineman, joining Aki Ogunbiyi (Texas A&M) and Carter Miller (Louisiana-Monroe).
