Prediction

Lakers 115, Warriors 110

Moneyline (ML)

Despite not having LeBron, the Lakers (-556) are still massive road favorites over the Warriors (+400). The Lakers have played incredibly well, as of late, winning six-straight games. Meanwhile, the Warriors have lost seven-straight and another seven in a row at home. However, there just isn’t enough value on either side. PASS on this chalky moneyline in favor of another bet.

Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

The Lakers -9.5 (-115) open this contest as nearly double-digit road favorites against the WARRIORS +9.5 (-106) without their best player. However, that just feels like far too many points for a team that is so reliant on their two superstars to carry them from night in and night out. It’s worth noting that the Lakers recently beat the Warriors at home, but only by five points and that was with James in the lineup. While they should get the “W” again this time, expect Golden State to keep this game close throughout and cover the 9.5 point spread.

Over/Under (O/U)

The total for this Western Conference matchup is set at 221.5, which feels low considering how poorly the Golden State Warriors’ defense has been this season. The Warriors are allowing over 115 points per game this season, seventh-most in the NBA. While LeBron James won’t play, still expect the OVER (-121) to hit as the Lakers should come close to scoring 115 or more points even without their superstar.
