As you’ll notice, Miller had a great start in Coors late last year. I put zero stock in it. In 3 starts at Triple-A this month, he has allowed 10 ER in 12 IP. He allowed 15 hits and 5 walks.
Feltner is nothing to write home about either, as he allowed 4+ ER in 3 of his last 4, and in that 4th start, he allowed 4 runs that were unearned.
I strongly considered the Rockies’ ML at +165, but I just don’t have the faith in that team after blowing a 9-2 lead in the 9th Tuesday.
Instead, try this on for size. 1B Elehuris Montero went 2-for-4 with a homer Tuesday and has 2+ total bases in 3 straight games. He also had 2 hits against Miller in that late-season start last year. Take ELEHURIS MONTERO OVER 1.5 TOTAL BASES (+135) for a solid return.
Run line/Against the spread
I didn’t have the appetite for the Rockies’ ML, but I will make the leap on the RL. They’re 16-19 ATS at home, and 14 of their 25 wins on the season have been at Coors. Neither team has a quality starter, and both bullpens were ran through last night. I’ll take the ROCKIES +1.5 (+105) in a revenge spot.
