Wisconsin released the new jersey numbers for its incoming freshmen earlier this week. The program’s class of 2023, led by top center Gus Yalden, is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 57 class in the nation. With Greg Gard’s team lacking for depth at times over the last few seasons, this group figures to make an impact from day one.
The other offseason addition made by Gard and his staff is undoubtedly the most significant of them all. It’s St. John’s transfer guard A.J. Storr. The rising sophomore already showed promise in his first collegiate season, and now enters a system where he could become a focal point of the offense.
All that, and he is already the most athletic player on the team.

Storr brings previously-mentioned athleticism to the Badgers, in addition to high-percentage shooting and tons of offensive upside. Wisconsin doesn’t often get out during the break and throw down highlight-reel dunks. A.J. Storr changes that instantly.
