LOOK: The top photos from Commanders’ preseason opener vs. Jets

Here are some of the best photos from Washington’s first preseason game.

The Washington Commanders opened the preseason with a 20-17 loss to the New York Jets on a late field goal. For Washington, though, the preseason opener centered around rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, and he more than delivered.

Daniels only played the opening series, yet took the Commanders down the field for a score. The highlight was his 42-yard completion to Dyami Brown, but it was Daniels who capped off the drive with a touchdown run, showing the dual-threat ability that has Washington fans excited.

It was also a good debut for some of Washington’s other rookies, such as tight Ben Sinnott, running back Michael Wiley and safety Tyler Owens, among others.

Looking back at the preseason opener, here are some of the best photos from Saturday’s game.
