LOOK: Texas A&M QB Conner Weigman exits first half vs. Auburn with apparent ankle injury

Starting QB Conner Weigman suffered an apparent ankle injury in the first half against Auburn, and reportedly left for the locker room before the end of the first half.

Texas A&M starting quarterback Conner Weigman suffered an apparent ankle injury in the first half against Auburn. With 4:30 left in the second quarter, the sophomore was seen leaving for the locker room.

ESPN sideline reporter Kris Budden reported in-game that Weigman went to the locker room, shouting in pain on the sidelines. Travis Brown of The Eagle shared footage of the sophomore departing before the end of the first half.

Weigman took a hit on his lower body when lined up in Texas A&M’s own end zone. He stayed in and finished the ensuing drive but immediately went into the tent once the Aggies offense was off the field.

Backup quarterback Max Johnson was seen warming up on the sidelines but did not take a snap before the end of the first half. We will share further updates as they come through.
