Look: Teddy Bridgewater training with Robby Anderson, Seth Roberts

On Monday, Anderson shared a few photos on Instagram of himself training with Bridgewater.

The two biggest free agent signings for the Panthers this year were quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (three years, $63 million) and wide receiver Robby Anderson (two years, $20 million). They’re already at work despite the pandemic.

On Monday, Anderson shared a few photos on Instagram of himself training with Bridgewater. In one of them he also tagged Seth Roberts, another new face at wide receiver this year.

Anderson and Bridgewater have crossed paths before.

They both played their high school football in Florida and have been on the same NFL team previously – they were both with the Jets in 2019. However, Bridgewater was traded to the Saints just before the season began so they never actually got on the field together in a real game. Anderson has developed into one of the league’s most potent deep threats. If Bridgewater can get into a rhythm with him on long balls and embrace throwing them it will be a huge boost for Joe Brady’s offense.

As for Roberts, the Panthers gave him a one-year, $3.75 million contract. That’s a lot for a receiver who won’t have a significant role in the offense. Our best guess is that they see him as the WR4 on the roster.
