A video surfaced roughly a week ago of Texas women’s basketball coach Vic Schaefer vocally expressing his disappointment regarding the lack of support from fans at their home games.
Schaefer backed up his views by stating the team is ranked No. 11 in the country and play an exciting style of basketball.
Many began campaigning on social media over the last few days to get fans to show up to their next home game, which took place on Feb. 26 against TCU.
Quinn Ewers, Xavier Worthy, DeMarvion Overshown and Jake Majors attended the game on behalf of the football program. While Overshown has notably been viewed as a leader on defense, it’s a great sign that Majors, Worthy and Ewers are stepping up into that role as young players.
