LOOK: Oregon unveils new thermal-reactive Nike Vapor Edge KF Dunks for Colorado game

The Ducks are bringing the heat — quite literally — with these thermal-reactive cleats vs. Colorado

It shouldn’t come as a major shock that the Oregon Ducks are once again unveiling some of the latest and greatest athletic apparel. This unveiling is against the No. 19 Colorado Buffaloes, who come to town on Saturday.

On Sunday, the Ducks announced they are bringing new cleats to the field for the top-20 showdown this weekend: the new Nike Vapor Edge KF Dunks.

More than just clean looking new cleats, these spikes are thermal reactive to show vibrant colors when heat activated. The cleats start all black, but as they warm up, green, yellow and blue hues start to show.

The cleats display Uncle Phil Knight’s nickname “Buck” on the heel of the shoe. It’s unclear what the rest of the uniforms are going to look like. We will have to wait until Wednesday evening to find out. However, it’s clear that the Ducks are going to be bringing the heat, quite literally, in the cleat department.
