LOOK: NFL comparisons for top Alabama draft prospects

USA TODAY Draft Wire’s Doug Farrar compared each of the top-50 NFL draft prospects to their NFL equals.

Xavier McKinney, S – Minkah Fitzpatrick

It’s almost as if they are so similar they were coached by the same guy. Well, that’s the case with this one. Much like Fitzpatrick, McKinney has played multiple defensive positions – a skill that made Fitzpatrick a standout in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Henry Ruggs, WR – Tyreek Hill

Fast and faster. Who’s who? The speed is the main reason for the comparison, but Farrar says Ruggs has the hands to go along with it. Beyond that, Farrar claims, “He has the potential to take the top off any defense in the same way Tyreek Hill has for the Chiefs.”

Jedrick Wills, OT – Lane Johnson

Farrar acknowledges Wills probable top-ten selection and is quick to let readers know that it should not come as a shock to the nation when it happens. The comparison with Johnson stems from his impressive run-blocking ability, but the need to improve on pass protection.
