Former Alabama wide receiver Slade Bolden is heading to the NFL Draft, and had the opportunity today to speak with members of the media.
Bolden held a mitigated, but meaningful role while with the Crimson Tide. Though he is not expected to be one of the first wide receivers drafted, he is expected to be taken off the board at some point.
Which team might he fit in with the best?
Well, how about the one where the starting quarterback and Bolden were college teammates and roommates through college. Oh, and can’t forget the fact that Bolden’s entire style of play is modeled after legend Julian Edelman.
If you haven’t guessed yet, it’s the New England Patriots, and Bolden has already met with them
Alabama’s Slade Bolden said he models his game after Julian Edelman. Added he’s close with Mac Jones, who was his roommate in college. On top of that, said Bill O’Brien would talk to him about how he used Wes Welker.

Former Patriots wide receiver, Edelman, responded to this tweet with comedy.
He took a popular .gif of Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and put his face over it.
