The No. 1 linebacker in the nation made his way down to Austin for an official visit over the weekend.
Five-star Anthony Hill out of Denton Ryan High School is a top priority for the Texas staff. 247Sports composite ranks Hill as the No. 2 player in Teaxs and the No. 14 prospect in the country.
The competition for Hill’s commitment is tough sledding. He has a top-five compiled of premier programs such as Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, USC and Texas A&M.
Hill enjoyed a monster junior season for Denton Ryan. He totaled 131 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, eight sacks, two forced fumbles and two interceptions en route to district MVP and All-American honors.
Texas has all the recruiting momentum in the world at the moment. Arch Manning and some of Texas’ top commits are working to get Hill in the fold. Landing a player of Hill’s caliber could push Texas into contention for the No. 1 class in the 2023 recruiting cycle.
