Five-star defensive lineman Bear Alexander is one of the most sought-after prospects in the 2022 recruiting class.
Alexander is rated a top-30 prospect in the nation and the No. 7 overall prospect from the state of Texas in the 2022 cycle according to 247Sports composite rankings.
On June 7, Alexander decommited from Georgia. According to 247Sports’ crystal ball predictions, many believe he is leaning toward committing to Texas A&M. He still has several visits scheduled for June, including official visits with USC and Miami. However, Texas hosted the Fort Worth native for an unofficial visit on June 9.
Alexander tweeted he had a great time on the Forty Acres and shared pictures of him posing in Texas’ icy white uniforms.

In 2020, Alexander missed the first half of the season due to transfer rules but helped Denton Ryan High School to an undefeated season and the Texas 5A D-1 state title. He was awarded second-team MaxPreps Junior All-American honors.
If Texas defensive line coach Bo Davis is able to make up ground and land a player of this caliber, it would certainly be worthy of a celebration.
