Michigan hockey posted back-to-back 3-0 shutouts against rival Michigan State over the weekend at Yost Ice Arena in the Big Ten Tournament, and one familiar face was on hand on Saturday to take in the action.
Dylan Larkin, a Michigan native, was only in Ann Arbor for one season, in 2014-15 before he got drafted by his hometown Detroit Red Wings, where he’s now in his fifth-season and is an alternate captain. But with the Wings having a day off on Saturday before they host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday at Little Caesars Arena, Larkin found time to head back to his old stomping grounds to take in his alma mater beating its arch rival in the tournament.
And he celebrated in epic fashion as the game concluded, not just staying put in his seat, but joining the fanatical Children of Yost student section to celebrate the big win.

Through 69 games in 2019-20, Larkin has 18 goals and 32 assists for an accumulated 50 points for the Detroit Red Wings.
