Long snapper Travis Drosos commits to UCLA

Another special teams commitment for UCLA.

The UCLA Bruins are continuing to formulate their roster for the 2024 season, and they grabbed another commitment this week. This one came from a specialist, as long snapper Travis Drosos announced via his Twitter he would be coming to Los Angeles.

Drosos started his college football career at Colorado and then moved on to South Alabama. He spent the last three seasons there and now wants to finish his college career closer to home. He grew up in Gilbert Arizona.

The long snapper is 6’0 and weighs 222 lbs. He has been known to be a great size for his position and has a solid ability to tackle downfield.

The need for a long snapper came to fruition when Beau Gardner elected to leave the program in the offseason. Drosos was just in Los Angeles on a visit with Brody Richter, who also committed to the Bruins.

From all indications, head coach DeShaun Foster is still on the prowl for future additions to the team, but the roster is starting to round into shape. Many around the program are pleased with the attention to special teams, something former coach Chip Kelly was often criticized for.

In the same week, UCLA added punter Brody Richter from Northern Arizona.
