Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and other offensive weapons were on the receiving end of the most hype coming out of Cincinnati Bengals workouts recently.
But what about the defense?
There are plenty of question marks there too given the rebuilt defensive line and secondary.
One name who quietly made some noise? Linebacker Logan Wilson.
A third-round pick last year, Wilson got into 12 games for the Bengals and flashed some of that upside that had fans whispering about him possibly being the future of the linebacker position for the team.
And in a somewhat passing bit of remarks, defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo seemed to hint at that coming out of OTAs, as captured by ESPN’s Ben Baby:
Bengals DC Lou Anarumo praised LB Logan Wilson's communication. Seems entrenched as the starting middle LB heading into training camp.

It’s an encouraging bit of news on the Wilson front as the team expects him to take the proverbial next step as a sophomore. Odds are he’ll see even more usage and have his list of responsibilities grow.
If this early bit of feedback is any sign, Wilson should make some more headlines during training camp.
