Local WR Daylyn Upshaw to visit Auburn for Georgia game

He is emerging as a key target in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

The Auburn Tigers are set to host numerous recruits this weekend when they host the Georgia Bulldogs in the 127th edition of the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry. One of the recruits is wide receiver [autotag]Daylyn Upshaw[/autotag] who will be making the short drive from Phenix City down to the Plains.

Upshaw has taken numerous visits to Auburn since wide receivers coach [autotag]Marcus Davis[/autotag] offered him a scholarship back in March. They were the second program to extend him an offer, behind only Texas, since then FSU, Penn State and several other programs have followed suit.

Despite an impressive offer list, he is a three-star prospect and the No. 84 wide receiver and No. 24 player from Alabama in the 247Sports composite ranking.

Upshaw has had a strong start to the season for Central-Phenix City, emerging as their No. 2 wideout behind five-star [autotag]Cam Coleman[/autotag], a major Auburn target in the 2024 cycle. Upshaw has caught 19 passes for 409 yards and five touchdowns in their first five games.
